Sample Reformatting and Sample Archiving

FluidX

One of the largest obstacles to overcome during the implementation of an automated system is
the need to preserve an existing collection of samples that is incompatible with the automation.
A simple and inexpensive method is required to perform a one-time reformat of the legacy
tubes to an automation-friendly format that will meet the increasing throughput requirements
and “future-proof” the samples for use in automated stores and sample handling.

This application note details how the FluidX Xsp-200, a simple Sample Reformatting Liquid Handling system, can reformat samples stored in legacy tubes into a standard 96-format SBS footprint rack with tubes that can be easily used in automated systems and stores.
