Webinar: Imaging and analysis of living neuronal cell cultures
Molecular Devices

Presenter: Dr. Alan Sabirsh, Dept. of Neuroscience, CNS & Pain division, AstraZeneca The department of Neuroscience in AstraZeneca’s CNS & Pain division runs a wide variety of assays involving image based cytometry that are related to their primary research areas, Alzheimer’s disease and pain. This presentation by Alan Sabirsh from AstraZeneca demonstrates how to perform assays involving living neuronal cells both from cell lines and primary cultures using the ImageXpress® Micro (equipped with environmental control and liquid handling) and MetaXpress® Analysis Software. The methodologies discussed will be of interest to anyone working with living cells. What will be covered: • The advantages of live cell work • The choice of reagents used • Tips and tricks for performing experiments • Several examples of how experiments can be designed and analysed
