Webinar Summary

RNA plays important and diverse roles in biology, but molecular tools to manipulate and measure RNA are limited.

In a paper published in Science, researchers in the Zhang lab at MIT showed that their CRISPR-based diagnostic (CRISPR-Dx) platform, termed SHERLOCK, allows rapid DNA or RNA detection with attomolar sensitivity and single-base mismatch specificity.

In this webinar, Omar Abudayyeh and Jonathan Gootenberg, co-authors of the study, will detail their work developing and enhancing SHERLOCK.

Attend this webinar to learn:
  • The basics of CRISPR biology
  • The process of discovering novel CRISPR enzymes
  • How CRISPR is finding new applications in genome editing, RNA targeting and diagnostics
