Webinar Summary

Multi-angle light scattering (MALS) is an absolute technique for determining the molar mass of macromolecules in solution. While SEC-MALS is the most common method for utilizing MALS with peptides, proteins and polymers, size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) is not appropriate for separating all types of macromolecules.

This webinar will present the use of asymmetric-flow field-flow fractionation coupled to MALS (AF4-MALS) for characterizing macromolecules that are not amenable to good separation with SEC.

Two case studies will be presented: GLP-1 analogue oligomers, and polyelectrolytes. An introduction to the GLP-1 analogues, polyelectrolytes and the AF4-MALS technique will be provided as well.

Attend this webinar to learn:
  • How AF4-MALS separates and characterizes macromolecules
  • Solution structures of GLP-1 analogues found by AF4-MALS
  • Determination of average molecular weight and PDI of polyelectrolytes found by AF4-MALS
