SANS Instrument Scientist

 at ISIS Neutron and Muon Source


Gregory has used neutrons and X-rays to study colloids and soft matter since starting his PhD at the University of Bristol (UK) in 2011, where he also obtained an undergraduate degree in 2007. After leaving Bristol, he continued to study nanostructured systems, from electronic displays to biomedical devices to food, in positions at the University of Sheffield (UK) and at the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen (DK) before starting his current role at ISIS in 2020. As an instrument scientist, Gregory contributes to managing and developing the SANS instruments at ISIS, working with users to study materials with structure from the molecular to the microscopic scales.
