Webinar Summary

The legalization of marijuana for medical and recreational use has increased awareness of concerns regarding an individual’s ability to drive under the influence of cannabis.

Currently, DUI convictions are difficult to prove given the lack of research associated with driving impairment following cannabis consumption and the absence of a standard reference method procedure for cannabinoid testing.

Here, Dr. Philip Sobolesky will present the University of California's method validation consisting of quantifying ten different cannabinoid compounds in oral fluid by HPLC-MS/MS. Learn about the steps taken during this validation process and the issues that were overcome.

Attend this webinar to learn:
  • The advantage of using oral fluid quantitative analysis for forensic toxicology and driving impairment
  • Simplified workflow for oral fluid sample preparation for UPLC/MS/MS analysis
  • Cannabinoid metabolites that can be measured in oral fluid and potential markers of recent cannabis intake
  • Oral fluid testing compared to other sample matrices for cannabis metabolites
  • High sensitivity analysis of cannabis metabolites using a routine tandem quadrupole system
