SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein Mutagenesis

Variants of SARS-CoV-2 have been emerging and circulating around the world since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recombinant proteins, particularly those corresponding to variants of spike (S) protein, are required to study transmissibility and immune escape. Expression plasmids for functional and structural studies may be obtained via a variety of strategies, ranging from the assembly and cloning of PCR products to the production of full-length synthetic constructs.
