Copley Scientific Appoints New Distributor in India

Copley Scientific has appointed Apex Chromatography Pvt. Ltd. as its exclusive distributor for India. Apex Chromatography Pvt. Ltd., a highly respected company known for its provision of analytical products to the pharmaceutical industry, operates from headquarters in Hyderabad with an additional office in Mumbai. The company will sell and support Copley Scientific’s market leading range of pharmaceutical testing and inhaler testing equipment in India.

Apex Chromatography provides a wide range of analytical products, from lab chemicals to high end instrumentation. A particular strength is HPLC, UPLC and GC consumables. Copley Scientific is the global leader in inhaler testing equipment and a well-established provider of oral solid dosage testing equipment. Many pharmaceutical testing and inhaler testing methods rely on HPLC for chemical identification so there is substantial overlap in the two companies’ areas of expertise.

The Apex Chromatography team has already visited Copley Scientific’s headquarters in the UK for extensive product training and a dedicated product manager has been announced for the Copley range: Viraj Sohoni, who is based in the Mumbai office.
Both companies will be attending RDD Asia which runs from 12- 14 November 2014, in Goa, India. Mark Copley will present a workshop at the event on testing strategies for generic inhaled products and experts will be on-hand to discuss products and the new distribution agreement.
