Inprocess instruments, the world-wide provider of highly-specialized quadrupole mass spectrometer systems for online gas analysis, is consolidating its research and development, production and administration by expansion and a change of location in Bremen.

InProcess Instruments is a high-tech company in Bremen. Since it was founded twelve years ago the mass spectrometer systems producer for the chemical, pharmaceutical and petro-chemical industries has seen dynamic growth. Currently employing 30 people the company also effectively supports the steel, lamp, glass and electronics industries with mass spectrometer systems.

With regard to this, InProcess Instruments offers process analysis solutions for online gas analysis as an analytical key and core component of monitoring and regulation of production for process optimization, as well as quality control and environmental monitoring. Other focal points are trace analysis and the field of research and development.

The main arguments for choosing the new location were, in addition to having a position near the airport and the increased floorspace of 1700 square metres, the first class technical facilities of the new building and the excellent working conditions for the employees. The new premises provide the most modern production environment for innovative development as well as a prestigious environment for meetings, advanced training and conferences for international clients.

The relocation lays the foundation for further healthy growth over the coming years. The company acknowledges increasing international competition and is securing its market position as a system integrator by the development of new fields of application, innovative technology, customized problem solving and a strongly distinctive customer focus.

InProcess Instruments, with its expertise in mass spectrometry and process analysis, strengthens the position of Bremen in the high technology field and reinforces the positive trends in the employment market.

With this in mind Dr. Andreas Pickuth, Managing Director of InProcess Instruments, says, “In appreciation of the growth in our high-tech sector, InProcess Instruments is investing in the expansion and modernization of research and development, production and administration, as well as sales and service in order to meet world-wide demand. Our industry sector, with its mainly medium-sized companies, is among the most highly productive, innovative and internationally operating industries in the German economy, and brings with it the creation of long-term regional employment.

In 2010 InProcess increased staff levels by 20% and we plan further recruitment in 2011. Furthermore, we are working on developing new fields of application for our mass spectrometer systems and are intensifying our strategic expansion in the Near and Middle East markets as well as South-East Asia. For this reason, InProcess Instruments will participate in the ArabLab exhibition in Dubai in 2011, as well as LabAsia in Kuala Lumpur for the first time.”
