Advion Announces Full Integration with Agilent’s Liquid Chromatography Systems

Read time: Less than a minute

Advion, Inc. has announced that its expression compact mass spectrometer (CMS) is now fully integrated with Agilent Technologies’ full range of HPLC and (U)HPLC liquid chromatography systems.

The single quadropole CMS is seen as a valuable option to complement existing (U)HPLC systems.

Agilent Technologies is the leading vendor of (U)HPLC systems in the life sciences market, and full integration (control, data acquisition, and analysis) with the CMS allows users a streamlined approach for their LC/MS methods.

Users will now have full control of more than 70 Agilent (U)HPLC modules, using a single software platform, and single PC through Advion’s Mass Express® software.

“The expression CMS was designed by expert mass spectroscopists and chemists to create the ideal platform for scientists to get the most out of their research,” says David B. Patteson, President and CEO.

Patteson continued, “From its small footprint and ability to operate on a standard 110-240V outlet, the high performance mass spectrometer offers the optimal price to performance ratio. Compatibility with this leading (U)HPLC supplier is the logical next step in our on-going development, and makes it even easier for users to integrate with their existing lab assets, while further optimizing their workflow. Agilent Technologies’ Instrument Control Framework (ICF) was the perfect integration solution for the (U)HPLC.”
