Andrews Glass Company, is now marketing the Lab-Crest® brand directly to end users at very competitive prices. The company will be marketing products on its website and plans to offer discount programs for high volume customers.

Designed for HPLC, particulate and microbiological contamination filtration, the popular 47 mm size glass filter holders are ideal for small to medium volumes of liquid, and they are currently being used for a variety of laboratory analyses.

Manufactured in the company’s facility, these convenient, high performance filter holders consist of a borosilicate glass funnel (300 mL, graduated) and base, with a fused-in coarse porosity fritted support; anodized aluminum clamp; and a #8 silicone stopper to fit 1000 mL filter flasks. Mating surfaces are precisely ground flat to assure a leak-resistant seal. The glass parts and the clamp are designed to work together to prevent any wrinkling or tearing of the filter membrane.

Lab-Crest® glass filter holders are also being offered in 25 mm size. A 47 mm base with a stainless steel screen is available. All Lab-Crest® glass filters can be easily cleaned to prevent cross contamination. They are autoclavable; can be sterilized in a UV sterilizer; or immersed briefly in sulfuric or hydrochloric acid for sanitizing.
