Axiom Announces New High-Transmission ATR Probe

Read time: Less than a minute

Axiom Analytical, Inc. has announced the availability of its new DPR-210XT High-Transmission ATR (Attenuated Total Reflectance) Probe.

This probe has been designed specifically to interface with the new generation of small and flexible FTIR spectrometers available from companies such as Bruker Optics and Thermo-Fisher Scientific.

The configurations of these spectrometers allows the use of a straight probe design which provides significantly increased transmission compared to the Company’s earlier ATR probes.

For example, when used with a Bruker Alpha instrument and Axiom’s SI-Alpha1 spectrometer interface, the DPR-210XT exhibits transmission in the range of 30 %, providing remarkably high performance.

The new probe is the latest addition to Axiom Analytical’s comprehensive line of conventional and diamond tipped ATR probes that have found widespread use in applications ranging from chemical and pharmaceutical research to incoming inspection of raw materials and on-line process analysis.

These probes feature broad mid-IR spectral response, providing detailed quantitative analysis based on specific chemical functional groups.

When combined with the new light weight, flexible, and robust spectrometers, they provide comprehensive systems for both laboratory chemical development and process analysis and control.
