Cohesive Technologies has announced that it has further expanded its instrument product line to include the TLXMD Series High Turbulence Liquid Chromatography (HTLC) Systems.

Cohesive’s TLXMD HTLC Systems are designed to simplify method development for turbulent flow chromatography (TurboFlow® technology) and liquid chromatography methods.

The TLXMD Systems automatically screen multiple columns (up to 11 columns) and mobile phase conditions and enable chromatographers to run numerous sample preparation methods unattended and overnight.

In addition to providing faster method development, Cohesive’s TLXMD Systems allow chromatographers to perform turbulent flow chromatography, Cohesive’s patented online extraction technology, to eliminate solid phase extraction (SPE), liquid/liquid extraction (LLE) or protein precipitation (PPT), as well as the ability to run existing LC methods all on one system.

This configuration allows users of the system to switch back and forth between online extraction methods and conventional LC methods simply by selecting the method in Cohesive’s Aria software.

Cohesive’s TLX Series Systems are designed to minimize ion suppression, enhance efficiency, and boost throughput without compromising data quality or sensitivity.

Jeff Zonderman, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, explains, "Our online extraction TLX Series Systems have greatly increased the speed of sample analysis in discovery, development, and clinical applications."

"However, with the increasing number of extraction columns and phases available, the road to developing good methods is a time-consuming and labor intensive process."

"Our TLXMD System, with its software-driven, automated column selection, greatly reduces method development time and effort-with customers documenting a reduction in their method development time of their online extraction and analytical methods from a week to a day and a half for 21 compounds."
