BioTek Instruments, Inc., congratulates Steve Hau on winning the Epoch™ Microplate Spectrophotometer prize draw! The contest was coordinated through Fisher Scientific UK, and Mr. Hau was chosen randomly from all entrants.

Mr. Hau is Chemistry Stores Manager at University of York, United Kingdom, and has donated the Epoch to his colleagues at the university's York Structural Biology Lab (YSBL).

Sally Lewis, YSBL Senior Technician noted, "We're so excited to receive such a fabulous machine that can measure nanoliter volumes and much more. It's marvelous!"

The monochromator-based Epoch measures absorbance from 200-999 nm in 6- to 384-well microplates.

Along with endpoint readings for nucleic acid and protein quantification, Epoch also offers wavelength scanning, kinetic and well area scanning measurements.

Optional, unique Take3™ and Take3 Trio accessories measure up to sixteen or forty-eight 2 µL samples respectively, along with other sample formats.

Pre-programmed and user-generated programs, as well as data output, are controlled via Gen5™ Data Analysis Software.
