Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the release of a new autosampler for the handling of only liquid samples for gas chromatography or gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) systems!

This new autosampler (Thermo Scientific TriPlus 100 LS Liquid Autosampler) performs liquid injections in a completely automated and reliable manner, regardless of the matrix or the selected technique.

With the addition of optional accessories, the system is capable of automating sample preparation steps such as standard dilution, standard and internal standard addition, and vortexing. The autosampler can handle almost any type of liquid samples, including highly viscous or very volatile solvent samples.

Other advantages that result in reduced cost per analysis, faster results, and increased sample throughput include the autosampler having the ability to access multiple injection ports and inject samples into multiple inlets on a single GC systems or two different GC systems; the autosampler can be controlled by multiple independent methods, and the syringe washing cycle starts during the current GC cooling phase.

In addition, the autosampler has the capacity for 972 2 mL sample vials and multiple 100 mL wash/waste bottles resulting in weekend-long unattended operations!

Software control of the autosampler is supported in the following chromatography data system software (CDS) systems: Thermo Scientific Dionex Chromeleon CDS 7.2 MUc, Xcalibur, ChromQuest, ChromCard, Agilent OpenLAB EZChrom edition, and Agilent EZChrom.
