Hamamatsu New High-speed PMT for Next-generation TOF-PET
Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has announced the release of a new 38 mm head-on PMT (photomultiplier tube) that offers approximately 3 times faster response than previous models.
The R12845 PMT is designed to provide high signal-to-noise detection for next-generation TOF-PET (time-of-flight positron emission tomography), high-energy physics applications, radiation monitoring, and other demanding applications.
The R12845 will be available to instrument manufacturers from the 10th October 2013.
Hamamatsu will exhibit the R12845 at the IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium/Medical Imaging 2013 Conference in Seoul, South Korea from the 27th October to the 2nd November (exhibit of the R12845 will be for 3 days from the 29th October).
The new PMT will also be shown at Photon Fair 2013, the company’s new technology exhibition to be held from the 7th - 9th November at the Act City Hamamatsu Convention Center in Hamamatsu, Japan.
