Read time: Less than a minute

Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced that its award-winning Atlas Chromatography Data System™ (CDS) now supports the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.

Thermo Scientific Atlas version 8.2 is designed to provide LC and GC instrument control, digital data acquisition, chromatography data processing and reporting all in a familiar and widely supported Microsoft Windows Vista environment.

Windows Vista provides a more secure computing environment for desktops and enterprise-wide laboratory operations. “As more companies deploy Microsoft Vista in the coming months, there is strong interest in adopting software applications that are tested and vendor-validated in the Vista environment,” according to Dave Champagne, vice president and general manager of Informatics at Thermo Fisher. “Atlas version 8.2 provides laboratories that are planning for Vista with an ideal CDS solution.”

Thermo Scientific Atlas CDS can provide a scalable client/server environment for laboratory networks across life science and process industries. Designed as a multi-user, multi-instrument data system, Atlas enables remote network access to any chromatograph across the enterprise, including the new Thermo Scientific Accela™ High Speed LC.

In addition, Atlas provides seamless integration of LC/GC results with enterprise wide laboratory informatics management systems (LIMS) applications including the full range of Thermo Scientific LIMS.
