Read time: Less than a minute

In addition, after the United States EPA released its Toxicological Review of Hexavalent Chromium report, the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) agency has issued a new Public Health Guideline (PHG) for chromate at 0.02 ppb in drinking water.

Application Update 179: Sensitive Determination of Hexavalent Chromium in Drinking Water from Dionex successfully demonstrates a very sensitive ion chromatography method for determining hexavalent chromium at the proposed California PHG level of 0.02 μg/L. Using the Dionex 2 mm IonPac® AG7 guard and IonPac AS7 analytical columns, the method appropriately reduces the flow rates and reaction coil volume.
