Waters Corporation (NYSE:WAT) has expanded the MaxPeak™ Premier Reversed-Phase Column portfolio to include new XBridge™ and XSelect™ Columns featuring Optimum Bed Density (OBD) packing technology and MaxPeak High Performance Surfaces (HPS) Column hardware to enable the purification of small molecules, peptides, and oligonucleotides while minimizing non-specific adsorption to metal surfaces that can compromise compound recovery and purity.
The new columns are available with 10 mm internal diameter and 50-, 100-, 150-, and 250-mm lengths and include:
- XBridge BEH™ C18 130Å and XSelect CSH™ C18 130Å with 3.5 µm and 5 µm particles
- XBridge Peptide BEH C18 130Å and XSelect Peptide CSH C18 130Å with 3.5 µm and 5 µm particles
- XBridge Peptide BEH C18 300Å with 3.5 µm and 5 µm particles
- XBridge Oligo BEH C18 130Å and 300Å with 5 µm particles (excluding 250 mm length)

Subscribe for FREEScientists looking to purify molecular targets by chromatographic separations want to maximize recovery while minimizing the time required to develop new methods. The Optimum Bed Density (OBD) Preparative Column design provides uniformity and mechanical stability under high pressure chromatographic conditions, and MaxPeak High Performance Surfaces (HPS) Technology and column refined manufacturing processes improve peak symmetry without the need for additives in the mobile phase or column pre-conditioning. The addition of MaxPeak Premier OBD™ Preparative Columns to Waters reversed-phase column portfolio now enables predictable scale-up from analytical separations to milligram-scale purification to isolate compounds prone to non-specific adsorption.
