The purity of protein products is crucial, especially for therapeutics given at large doses or over long periods of time. Traditional methods for detecting and quantifying host cell proteins (HCPs) such as ELISAs have several shortcomings and are being supplemented by powerful LC-MS methods.
In this webinar, Kevin Van Cott, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, University of Nebraska, will discuss his experiences in identification and quantitation of HCPs. He has worked on projects involving early- and late-process development, products in clinical trials, and commercial products that have had HCP problems.
In addition, he will also discuss how to transition from a global proteomics analysis to targeted MS methods (MRM) to quantitate specific HCPs in samples.
