Conference Recording May 15, 2013
About the Speaker
Dr. Elde did his masters and Ph.D. at the University of Tromsø, Norway, which he completed in 1999. He then worked as a post-doc at the Biochemical Institute, University of Giessen, Germany, for almost two years. Since 2002 he has worked as a research manager at Biotec Pharmacon. In 2009 Biotec Pharmacon moved its enzyme business into a new subsidiary, called ArcticZymes, where Dr. Elde now works as the Head of Application Development. ArcticZymes develop, produces and sell unique, cold-adapted enzymes for use in research and diagnostics.AbstractContaminating DNA is a major problem in the sensitive PCR technology and we will in this presentation give an overview of the methods available to eliminate this problem.
