I have 40 years’ experience in molecular biology, including 30 years in Genomics at Principal Investigator level. I have co-authored over 150 peer reviewed publications and have played lead roles in a number of International genome sequencing projects. My academic career includes positions at the Sanger Campus, QMUL, MRC NIMR and the Crick Institute. I established an R&D lab at Genomics England in 2018 establishing nanopore WGS with the aim of clinical implementation in both Cancer and Rare Disease. I have also coordinated epigenetic, transcriptomic, proteomic and metabolomic programmes of research in Rare Disease.
