BioteQ Environmental Technologies, Inc., has announced that Jonathan Wilkinson has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Wilkinson will join BioteQ on October 11, 2011, replacing retiring CEO, Brad Marchant.

Mr. Wilkinson is a seasoned senior executive with extensive experience in the clean technology sector and public markets, leading companies through growth and change. He joins BioteQ from Nexterra Systems Corporation, where he was the Senior Vice-President of Business Development.

Prior to his work at Nexterra, Mr. Wilkinson served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Questair Technologies Inc. from 2002 to 2008 and was the Chief Operating Officer of Questair Technologies Inc. from 1999 to 2002.

Earlier, Mr. Wilkinson spent several years with Bain and Company, one of the world's leading strategy consulting firms.

Mr. Wilkinson has been active in the professional and charitable communities in British Columbia and Canada. He is presently a Board Member and Treasurer of the Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation.

Jonathan's previous Board experience includes QuestAir Technologies, the British Columbia Technology Industries Association (BCTIA), the Campaign Cabinet of the United Way of the Lower Mainland, the BC Chapter of the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Association, Fuel Cells Canada and the Advisory Board of the BC Power Technology Alliance.

A Rhodes Scholar, Mr. Wilkinson obtained degrees from the University of Saskatchewan, Oxford University and McGill University.

Mr. Wilkinson has also completed the Executive Development Program at the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.
