BioteQ Secures $1 Million Contract for Sale of Mobile Ion Exchange Plant

BioteQ Environmental Technologies Inc. has secured a contract from an international mining customer to provide a mobile water treatment plant for a mine site in Canada.

Under the terms of the contract, valued at approximately $1 million, BioteQ will design and install a mobile plant that applies BioteQ's process to remove and recover dissolved metal from mine impacted water at the mine site, meet all applicable environmental discharge limits, and eliminate the production of waste sludge.

The plant will be delivered to the customer's site in the first quarter of 2012.

Jonathan Wilkinson, BioteQ's Chief Executive Officer stated, "BioteQ has designed a mobile water treatment plant that can be rapidly deployed to customer sites to meet short-term or urgent water treatment requirements. The unit provides a cost-effective and flexible solution for our customer. This new contract is a reflection of the growing market acceptance of BioteQ's technology, and is an important commercial win for the Company."
