BioteQ Signs Contract for SART Services with Kinross for Maricunga

BioteQ Environmental Technologies Inc. has announced that the Company has signed a fee-based contract with Compania Minera Maricunga, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kinross Gold, to provide process review and commissioning services for a 750 m3/h SART plant currently under construction at the Maricunga Mine located near Copiapo, Chile.
BioteQ's services include engineering and operations review focused on the plant start-up including safety and environmental performance, preparation of operating manuals and procedures, training of local operators, and on site engineering supervision of the SART plant operation during commissioning. BioteQ's services have commenced immediately.

BioteQ's team of engineers and operators have a decade of proven experience delivering safe and reliable sulphide precipitation processes which are a component of SART operations. We look forward to our work at the Maricunga site."
The SART process (sulphidization-acidification-recycle-thickening), developed by SGS Lakefield and Teck Corporation, has been proven to increase resource recovery, reduce operating costs, and improve the environmental footprint for copper-gold deposits.
BioteQ has designed and successfully commissioned two SART plants and currently has other SART projects in the early design stages.
