Respected German technology leaders, JPK Instruments, are pleased to announce the opening of the first USA-based offices. With more than twelve years supplying nanoscale solutions worldwide for researchers in the bio, life and materials sciences, JPK is to open their offices in Southern California to support users across the Americas.

JPK Instruments has one goal: to provide customers with demanding applications with the best tools and best service support for their needs. JPK bridges the worlds of nanotechnology tools and nanoscale applications with cutting-edge technology and unique applications expertise. Delivering success comes by listening to the needs of customers in order to develop an understanding of their challenges and providing a reliable and innovative solution. JPK's development team collaborates with an international network of leading scientists and industry experts to deliver premium class solutions.

To lead the delivery of this promise, JPK have selected renowned SPM expert, Dr Stefan Kaemmer as their first General Manager of US Operations. Stefan first applied SPM during his graduate work in the group of Professor Rolf Lacmann at the University of Braunschweig (1993). His work has taken him to various roles in SPM companies based in Japan (Hitachi) and the USA (Veeco/Bruker). Speaking about his new role, Stefan said "I am genuinely excited that we can bring the JPK range of superior solutions to the US market that has previously been available throughout the rest of the world for many years." The new office in Carpinteria, California, will act as a demonstration and service base for JPK's range of AFMs (NanoWizard®), single-cell force measuring systems (CellHesion® and ForceRobot®) and optical tweezers systems (NanoTracker™).

JPK will be attending the 2014 MRS Fall Conference and Exhibition in Boston, December 1-5. Stefan along with his distribution colleagues from Darcy Microsystems and Ragona Scientific will be showing the latest in JPK's NanoWizard® AFM family of systems for the nano and bio sciences. Visit the team on booth #521 or contact Stefan to discuss your applications: stefan.kaemmer@jpk.com. The office address from January 2015 is: JPK Instruments, Inc., 4189 Carpinteria Avenue, Suite 1, Carpinteria, CA 93013.
