NIST Presents an Infrastructure Plan to Strengthen Forensic Science Committees

The plan lays out how the new organization will coordinate development of standards and guidelines for the forensic science community to improve quality and consistency of work in the forensic science community.

The OSAC will unify the currently independent scientific working groups and incorporate their work products.

A summary of the plan and the presentation are available on the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s forensic science website. Public comments from a Federal Register Notice of Inquiry are also posted. Find these items at:
