Invitrogen Corporation has announced the availability of advanced vectors for Vivid Colors™ Fluorescent Proteins, which represent the next-generation of Enhanced Green Fluorescent Proteins (EGFP) for use in fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry.
Improving upon EGFP, Invitrogen’s Vivid Colors™, derived from the Aequorea victoris jellyfish, are not prone to aggregation, are enhanced for extreme fluorescence and are humanized for optimal mammalian expression.
Benefits of Vivid Colors™ vectors and associated products include, extended reporter protein fluorescence – up to 24 hours and multiple colors for co-visualization applications.
