ThalesNano Inc. has launched the H-Cube Pro™ at this year's Spring ACS in Anaheim, CA. The H-Cube Pro™ improves dramatically on the already market leading flow reactor, the H-Cube®, by offering greater hydrogen production for higher throughput, wider temperature capability including - for the first time - active cooling for more selective reactions, and an all new graphical interface with real time reaction monitoring/data logging and method storage capabilities.

In addition to expanding upon the range and throughput of hydrogenation reactions, the H-Cube Pro™ is also completely forward-compatible with several upcoming low cost reactor modules to expand the chemistry capabilities still further.

Chemists can look forward to utilizing other gases such as carbon monoxide, oxygen, or Syngas on the same instrument they already use for their hydrogenations. Another module allows homogeneous reactions to be performed at higher than microwave temperatures and pressures.

"With over 600 systems sold on 6 continents, the H-Cube® was the system that effectively brought flow chemistry into the mainstream chemistry laboratory," said Richard Jones, Director of Product Management. "Now with the H-Cube Pro™ and its companion reactor modules we're giving chemists even greater chemistry capabilities while maintaining and improving upon all of the major advantages of the original H-Cube®, such as safety and ease of use."

New H-Cube Pro™ abilities in full:
• Double the hydrogen production at all pressures
• Wider temperature range: 10-150°C
• Automated valve control with programmable timer
• Reactor module compatibility for extra chemistry functionality
• Real time, graphical reaction monitoring
• Method storage
• Software upgrades via the internet
• Built-in optimization software
