Thermo Scientific Launches New Portable Electrochemistry Meter

Read time: Less than a minute

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. has announced the new Thermo Scientific Orion VERSA STAR multi-channel, multi-parameter, bench-top meter platform. It offers up to four channels of pH/ORP, ISE, conductivity and dissolved oxygen in any combination.

The company will showcase the new Thermo Scientific Orion VERSA STAR platform in Thermo Scientific booth 2665 during Pittcon 2012, being held from March 11-15, in Orlando.

“Modular design allows customers to get just the meter they need today while providing expansion capabilities to meet their needs tomorrow,” said Antonia Finlayson, product line manager, water analysis instruments, Thermo Fisher.

Finlayson continued, “And a large, bright color display, multilingual interface, plain language prompts and custom display options make this meter extremely easy to use.”

The Orion VERSA STAR offers incremental methods for ISE, auto-recognition for polarographic or RDO optical dissolved oxygen probes and two Orion Star stirrer ports.

Its 2000 memory datalog capacity, time/date-stamped datalogs and data transfer capability help labs meet GLP requirements. An RS232 communication port and two USB communication ports are standard.

The included electrode arm features a unique design that accommodates a variety of sensors at the exact height and angle needed to make an accurate measurement, even when using multiple probes of different types.

Seven models of Orion VERSA STAR are available to meet single parameter or multi-parameter needs.
