Two new application notes from Jenway demonstrate how the Genova Nano micro-volume spectrophotometer produces fast, accurate and reproducible results.

The data presented shows how precise the instrument is when measuring DNA in terms of absorbance measurement both within and between instruments.

With its ability to measure sample volumes as low as 0.5 µl the Genova Nano is shown to be ideally suited for DNA, RNA and protein measurements in life science laboratories.

The application notes, ‘Accuracy and precision of the Genova Nano’ and ‘Pierce 660 nm protein assay using the Genova Nano’, are available for download at www.jenway.com.

Pre-programmed with parameters for a number of protein assays, all of which can be used with the micro-volume accessory, the Genova Nano is simple, quick and easy to use.

Precious samples are conserved by pipetting directly onto the read head. This eliminates the requirement for cuvettes, reduces waste and the need for dilution saving considerable time and money whilst increasing sample throughput.

With measurement modes for photometrics, concentration, multi-wavelength, spectrum scanning, quantitation and kinetics, the Genova Nano combines the specific life science applications of Jenway's existing Genova Plus with those of a standard spectrophotometer for extreme versatility.
