Anna-Barbara Hachmann, PhD profile page

Anna-Barbara Hachmann is a senior R&D manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Grand Island, New York, with over 15 years of experience in cell biology, virology, gene therapy and microbiology. Her team develops cell culture media for vaccines, protein production and advanced therapies. She holds a Pharmacy degree from Friedrich-Schiller-University and Cambridge University and earned her PhD in Microbiology from Cornell University. Her postdoctoral work at Harvard Medical School and Northeastern University focused on species-specific antibiotics as part of the National Institutes of Health Human Microbiome Project. Anna also mentors students and supports STEM outreach and academic collaborations.
