David Elder, PhD profile page

Dr. David Elder has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 48 years. He worked for 4 different large pharmaceutical companies over a 40-year period, and his last 23 years were spent with GSK in several different roles of increasing seniority. Since 2016, he has worked as an independent CMC consultant. He has given over 170 presentations and written over 200 scientific publications. He is on the editorial advisory boards of the Journal of Pharmaceutical Science and the European Pharmaceutical Review. He is an expert on the British and United States Pharmacopeias. He has a long-term interest in the biopharmaceutical quality of candidate molecules arising from high-throughput screening initiatives.
