The Cytomat Automated Incubator Series and the Air Purging System

Microbial cultures such as yeast and bacteria are important tools in the biopharmaceutical industry. Enclosed automated incubators, such as the Cytomat series, are optimized for mammalian cell culture growth, providing robust, scalable and reproducible environmental conditions.

It is important that gas exchange with the environment is minimized, however, the changes in oxygen (O2) content in these enclosed environments, during several days of growth, has never been investigated.
