Andy Tay received his PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles, focusing on neuromodulation and engineering. He subsequently completed his postdoctoral training at Stanford University where he developed nanotechnologies for immuno-engineering. Andy Tay is currently a Presidential Young Professor at the National University of Singapore. The Tay lab is dedicated to developing innovative approaches for cancer immunotherapy and tissue repair by harnessing the immune system. Their work leverages the use of biomaterials and nanotechnology. Andy Tay is a recipient of international awards including the Christopher Hewitt Outstanding Young Investigator Award and Terasaki Young Innovator Award. He is listed as a 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 (US/Canada, Science), 2020 World Economic Forum Young Scientist and 2022/3 Top 2% Scientist in the World by Stanford University.
