IFN-γ: A Key Player in Cancer Immunity
Interferon gamma (IFN-y) is a cytokine that elicits a cascade of immune responses against viruses and tumors. The binding of IFN-γ at the IFN-γ receptor, which consists of IFNGR1 and IFNGR2, activates pro-apoptotic, anti-tumor, and anti-proliferative functions of the cells. Aberrant expression of IFN-γ promotes tumor development. Hence, IFN-γ has been established as a key player in cancer immunogenicity.
Sino Biological has developed a panel of recombinant IFN-y protein and receptors reagents to support the study of IFN-γ in cancer immunity.
