About the SpeakerA key player in the field of European regenerative medicine, Julian Hitchcock is an intellectual property and life science lawyer at Lawford Davies Denoon, specialising in cell and tissue law. Julian Hitchcock qualified as a solicitor at Wragge & Co. in 1998, after an education in medicine and ten years after directing a film on the use of foetal cell implants in the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease.
Regulation is cited as the biggest obstacle to investment in regenerative medicine and stem cell science. In this talk, Julian Hitchcock sets out the European legal framework standing between research output and clinical implementation, highlighting some topical issues on the way.
