Bicyclic Peptides with Antibody-Like Binding Affinity and Specificity
Conference Recording Apr 08, 2013
About the Speaker2005-2009: PhD thesis in tumor immunology (Laboratory of Prof. Christofori, University of Basel, Switzerland). Study of the contribution of myeloid cells to tumor lymphangiogenesis. 2010-present: Postdoctoral Fellow in therapeutic peptide development (Laboratory of Prof. Heinis, EPFL, Lausanne). Development of bicyclic peptide inhibitors against disease targets.
We are generating bicyclic peptide ligands for disease targets using an approach based on phage display technology. The bicyclic peptides combine key qualities of antibody therapeutics (high affinity and specificity) and advantages of small molecule drugs.
