Tissue Based Diagnostics for Predicting Drug Response: Challenges and Opportunities
Conference Recording Feb 08, 2013
About the Speaker
Hartmut Juhl studied medicine at the Hamburg-Eppendorf University Clinic from 1979 to 1986 and received his doctorate of medicine (“Dr.med.”) in 1989. Hartmut holds an extraordinary professorship at the Medical Faculty of Hamburg University and is Adjunct Professor at the Lombardi Cancer Center of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Identification of cancer pathways which drive cell proliferation and metastases is becoming an important approach for predicting drug response in individual patients. Reliable quantification of (phospho-) proteins in tumor tissues requires collection procedures which follow scientific standards of high-quality biobanks as established by Indivumed.
