Webinar Summary

Dr. Jason Lin has extensive experience characterizing many types of analytes using light scattering, including some that have been quite challenging.

In this webinar he will present methods and techniques that can be used to overcome common challenges when measuring zeta potential and particle size.

The webinar will cover two main light scattering techniques: dynamic light scattering (DLS) and phase analysis light scattering (PALS). Each technique will be introduced in terms of theory and instrumentation setup. This will be followed with descriptions of common challenges that can arise and specific solutions to overcome these challenges.

By the end of this webinar users should have the following:
  • Basic knowledge of the theory and instrument setup for DLS and PALS
  • Understanding of sample properties that can cause challenges to DLS and PALS measurements
  • Knowledge of specific methods and techniques that can be used to overcome the challenges discussed
