William M. Caldwell, IV, Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Cell Technology, Inc., has praised the US Senate for overwhelming bipartisan support of stem cell legislation (HR 810, S 2754, S 3504), and the advancement of regenerative medicine.
"The passage of this legislation represents the hopes of more than 100 million Americans suffering from cancer, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, heart disease, diabetes, macular degeneration, spinal cord injuries, and other debilitating diseases and injuries," said Mr. Caldwell.
"We commend the Senate for the bipartisan leadership and for moving this most important area of research forward."
