AnaSpec to Host Bone Marrow Donor Drive

Read time: Less than a minute
AnaSpec, Inc. has partnered with AADP to host a bone marrow donor drive on the AnaSpec campus on February 1, 2010.

The goal of the event is to raise awareness around bone marrow donations and add new donors to the bone marrow donor registry. The event will take place in AnaSpec’s cafeteria from 10am – 2pm.

“A number of friends and employees of AnaSpec have been deeply affected by cancer,” noted Albert Olson Hong, Business Development Specialist. “The goal of this particular drive is to find a match for an AnaSpec friend, Barry Pham, who is 9-months-old. AnaSpec wants to do what it can to offer our support.”

A marrow transplant can be a life-saving treatment for people with leukemia, lymphoma and many other diseases. The donor registration process is painless and takes about ten minutes. The drive is open to the public.
