StemCells Regains Compliance for Continued NASDAQ Global Market Listing

StemCells, Inc., has announced that it has received notification from The NASDAQ Stock Market that the Company has regained compliance with the minimum bid price requirement.

In order to continue listing on the NASDAQ Global Market, the NASDAQ Listing Rules require the Company’s stock to evidence a closing of bid price of $1.00 per share or more for ten consecutive days.

On July 20, 2011, the closing bid price of the Company’s common stock was $3.75 per share, the tenth consecutive day the bid price closed above $1.00 per share.
