STEMSOFT Software Inc (STEMSOFT), a provider of software solutions for the cell therapy and transplant community, announces the licensing of StemLab, the cell therapy and cord blood banking laboratory software, to the Celebration Stem Cell Centre (CSSC) in Gilbert, Arizona.

“Our partnership with STEMSOFT is a most important one” said Sherry Lund, co-founder of CSSC. “We are now ready to show the world that we are state of the art and a model for the country”. CSSC will be processing cord blood utilizing BioE’s PrepaCyte® CB Cord Blood Processing System which is designed to enhance cell recovery and product safety. The PrepaCyte CB procedure template is built into StemLab and provides CSSC with the ability to track and analyze their data electronically with minimal upfront configuration effort.

StemLab is designed to manage and streamline the workflow procedures followed in a cord blood laboratory. StemLab assists both cell therapy and cord blood banking laboratories with heightened quality control, improved inventory management and the generation of robust outcome reports - including the ability to correlate product manufacture with clinical outcomes.

Mario Laszczak, Operations Manager for STEMSOFT stated “We are very excited to work on this project with CSSC; their workflow design and training on the system is now nearly complete and we look forward to having them go live with the software shortly”. In addition, Laszczak noted that StemLab also features built-in workflow procedures for processing cords through RBC reduction procedures and/or BioE’s PrepaCyte CB processing system, as well as workflow templates for working with marrow and apheresis products.
