Contrasting Patterns of Neutral and Adaptive Genetic Variation of Chilean Blue Mussel (Mytilus chilensis) Due to Local Adaptation and Aquaculture

This study was designed to investigate patterns of neutral and adaptive genetic variation within Chilean blue mussel populations in order to identify a subset of putatively adaptive genetic markers to investigate the population structure and to improve the ability to trace individuals to their geographical origin, especially in the area with strong aquaculture activities

Progressing 3D Spheroid Analysis into a HTS Drug Discovery Method

This study demonstrates that the cell culture assay for tumorsphere size was successfully adapted to 384-well plate for a 3D spheroid assay using U-bottom low attachment 384-well and the Celigo Automated Imager for image acquisition and analysis. Moreover, the utilization of an imager provided insight on sphere and cell fate after long term drug treatment.

LC-MS/MS METHOD FOR THE QUANTIFICATION OF PITOFENONE IN HUMAN PLASMA

We developed LCMS/MS bioanalytical method for quantitative estimation of Pitofenone HCl in plasma is simple, sensitive, accurate, precise, and selective. Percentage recovery shows that the method is free from interference of matrix. The analytical method presented here has proved to be useful for investigation of the characteristics of Pitofenone in human plasma in pharmacokinetic and pharmacogenetic studies.

Efficacy of Gene Therapy in Restoring Vision in Leber's Congenital Amaurosis

The research reviews current knowledge of the genetic causes of Leber's congenital amaurosis (LCA) and the development of a gene therapy intervention for LCA. The efficacy as well as the limitations of this form of treatment are evaluated in detail and recommendations are made for the future directions of gene therapy for Leber's congenital amaurosis.

Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation: Are We There Yet?

This review poster comprises of the overall development of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) as a therapy for variety of immuno compromised diseases since 1950 till date. It starts with the general information about hematopoietic stem cells, its sources as well as the types of HSCT. It also contains the role of mesenchymal stem cells in HSCT along with its present scenario and it ends with the future directions regarding HSCT.
