Lifeforce Cryobanks, has launched a new identity campaign created by L2 Inc. The campaign includes a revamped website (www.LifeforceCryobanks.com), the Cord for Life(SM) banking program, new leadership, and expanded partnerships, all of which help articulate the company's focus on serving expectant parents and working with government and private organizations who need assistance creating and growing cord blood banks. Through this new campaign, Lifeforce Cryobanks is reinforcing its commitment to quality control, research and innovation.
Recently the Florida state government has joined the medical community in recognizing the value of umbilical cord blood. Florida lawmakers have passed legislation (SB 702), effective July 1, that helps increase awareness about the potential benefits of cord blood and the public and private cord blood banking options so families can make an informed decision.
As part of the legislation, the Department of Health must post on its website cord blood resources and an electronic link to educational materials, and the department is required to encourage healthcare professionals to inform pregnant women about the potential uses of umbilical cord blood and their banking options.
"We feel the new legislation is a step in the right direction and are committed to doing our part in educating the public through elements of our new campaign," said Donald Hudspeth, Chief Operating Officer of Lifeforce Cryobanks. "We are expanding strategic partnerships locally and nationally, and have developed educational materials that will help women better understand the need to save their baby's umbilical cord and the process."
As part of Lifeforce Cryobanks' repositioning campaign, the company has branded its cord blood collection program, Cord for Life(SM). They offer expectant parents three options when deciding what to do with their baby's cord blood. These options include private banking, which involves collection, processing, proprietary cryopreservation and storage for use by the child or other designee; public donation, which would allow the cord blood to be used by an unrelated patient suffering from a life threatening illness; or imminent need, which involves cord blood stem cell collection designated for immediate transplant to a loved one currently suffering from a life-threatening illness.
Lifeforce Cryobanks utilizes an innovative processing technique that combines the expertise of medical technicians with PremierMaxCB, a proprietary processing method. Together they are proven to deliver the highest quality and quantity of stem cells for future use by those in need and also be safer for the patient than other methods.
"With more than 15 years of experience, the company is uniquely positioned to not only help expectant parents make informed decisions about saving the cord blood, but also to offer organizations assistance in launching and growing their cord blood banks," said Sarah Ellerby, Managing Partner at L2 Inc. "We are excited about the opportunities for Lifeforce Cryobanks as the company continues to strengthen its presence and build relationships in Central Florida and nationwide."
