Tfh Cells and Associated Cytokines: The B Cell Modulators
The T follicular helper (Tfh) cells are a specialized subset of CD4+ T cells essential for the survival, affinity maturation, and class switch recombination of B cells. They promote effective B-cell antibody-mediated immune responses. Dysregulation of Tfh cells is linked to autoimmune disorder systemic sclerosis and chronic graft-versus-host-disease. These cells also play essential roles in allergies, asthma, viral infections, and cancer. There is a growing interest in utilizing these cells to improve therapeutic and vaccination strategies.
Several prominent cytokines positively or negatively regulate Tfh cell differentiation and development. Sino Biological has developed a comprehensive collection of high-quality cytokines that support the research in the development and applications of Tfh cells.
