Rapid molecular diagnostic tests are a central tool to detect and thereby slow down the spread of infectious diseases such as SARS-CoV-2. Although PCR based methods have proven effective, reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) show comparable sensitivity and specificity. LAMP assay recognizes the target RNA by several distinct sequences and works to amplify it with high selectivity.
Download this app note to learn how RT-LAMP assays can:
- Increase diagnostic capacity
- Detect RNA amplification in real-time
- Be performed under isothermal conditions at 65°C
- Be used to test samples in under 40 minutes
