Freelance Science Writer
Kaja attained a BSc in genetics (2014), MRes in neurotechnology (2017) and a PhD in bioengineering (2022) at Imperial College London. During her PhD she worked on bioengineering organoids and spent part of her time working in an organoid group in Vienna, Austria. Here, she developed a microfibrous scaffold platform to guide brain organoid growth, which was patented for commercialization. In 2022 she started a position as a post-doctoral research associate at Imperial College London, where she investigated the effects of materials on organoid and stem cell growth. She is currently working as a freelance science writer.
