Liquid Ready to Use Controls for Point-of-Care Testing

Read time: Less than a minute
The Randox Acusera range of liquid ready to use quality controls are easy to use in point-of-care testing. In a point-of-care setting, tests are often carried out by nurses at, or near the patient’s bedside. It is therefore extremely important for control material to be convenient, quick and easy to use.

The Randox range of liquid ready to use controls offer a range of benefits making them user friendly and suitable for use by non laboratory personnel. Very little training is necessary as controls are liquid stable and ready to use, Randox says.

By eliminating the need for dilution or reconstitution the risk of human error is minimized. Liquid stable controls also eliminate the need to thaw controls before use; freeing up precious staff time while color coded caps allow different levels to be identified quickly; reducing the risk of costly errors.

Control products include:

• Blood Gas – Multi-analyte control with assayed values provided for 10 analytes, method specific target values and ranges are also quoted for the most common instruments.
